Why is my keg pressure too high?Updated 12 days ago

Keg pressure can become higher than expected during fermentation for a few common reasons:

  • Fermentation is more active than usual (for example, the room is warmer than recommended).

  • The keg or machine is placed near a heat source or in direct sunlight.

  • The beer tube is kinked, pinched, or not fully inserted, so pressure cannot be released smoothly.

  • A connected CO₂ cylinder was not fully turned off.

If the keg pressure exceeds 30 psi during fermentation, please contact customer service at [email protected] to request a replacement keg lid.
