CO₂ GuideUpdated 2 hours ago
Using CO₂ with your iGulu F1 gives you better carbonation, smoother dispensing, and longer storage for your finished brews. This guide explains whether CO₂ is required, which cylinders are compatible, how to install CO₂ safely, and how to troubleshoot common issues.
1. Is a CO₂ cylinder required to use the machine?
No — CO₂ is optional.
The iGulu F1 includes a built-in air pump, which allows you to dispense your drink without CO₂.
When using air pump only:
Suitable for tasting or short-term drinking
Best consumed within 24 hours, as air shortens freshness
When using CO₂:
Provides proper carbonation
Allows smoother dispensing
Extends storage up to 30 days in COOL mode
2. What type of CO₂ cylinder should I purchase?
The CO₂ adapter on the back of the F1 machine supports cylinders with a TR21*4 thread, such as the blue screw-in type SodaStream bottles.
